Spring is right around the corner and Yas Waterworld is bringing a variety of seasonal activities and shows to entertain guests in the next month.
Springfest 2017 will begin tomorrow and run until April 15 at the Abu Dhabi waterpark, giving residents even more reason to visit and let loose in the water.
Headlining the festivities will be Yas Waterworld’s never-beforeseen mermaids show, with two colourful mermaids set to dazzle park-goers every weekend during Springfest. Meet and interact with the mermaids and capture a moment that is sure to be memorable.
Kids will also be able to enjoy the biggest egg hunt on Yas Island on the final day of Springfest, April 15, when over 5,000 eggs will be hidden.
Other activities and shows on offer will be the Springfest Maze at Amwaj Beach, the opportunity to snap a photo with Yas Waterworld characters and even a new, limited edition ice cream, the Yas Twister.

Springfest, of course, is in addition to Yas Waterworld’s 40 exhilirating rides and attractions, five of which are unique to the capital.

Hanging 10 is never a problem as flowboarders and bodyboarders can hit the waves in the Rush Rider before taking on the challenging Bubbles’ Barrel, which has a 3mhigh wave and 1,250-horsepower pumps producing 7,000 litres of water per second.
Other thrilling rides include the Jebel Drop, a free-fall speed slide with a daring plunge, the Liwa Loop, a loopy waterslide experience, Dawwama, a 20mhigh adrenaline-rush tornado waterslide featuring a six-person raft and Falcon’s Falaj, another six-person raft ride with plenty of twists, turns, rapids and drops.
