  • Sprinting to success: Team building exercises are a big part of the camps.

There may well be four weeks until it all begins but now is the time to take advantage of Gulf Star Sports’ early bird discount for their summer camps.

Running from June 25 to August 27, across various locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, there’s no reason why kids aged between 3 to 13, shouldn’t be active – with football, swimming and gymnastics just some of the activities that they can look forward to.

Those who sign up before June 11 will be charged Dh650 for the five days, while it is Dh800 thereafter. Daily rates (Dh200) and three-day options (Dh550) are also available.

Gulf Star Sports are no strangers to hosting camps with their previous editions been hugely successful and are confident 2017 will be another massive hit.

“We have been running holiday camps in the UAE since 2012 and have grown into the successful and respected business we are today,” said Sam Griffiths, customer services manager at Gulf Star Sports.

“This summer we will be running camps for 10 weeks in a record number of locations across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Holiday camps have been a flagship of Gulf Star’s success and for the 2016 summer holidays, we saw more than 200 children enroll in our camps on a weekly basis across all of our venues.”

He added: “There will be a range of activities for the kids including football, basketball, tag rugby, dodge ball, gymnastics, martial arts, swimming, dancing (including hip hop for boys and girls) and art.

“We also run team building activities throughout the week. In addition to this, we have a wide range of ‘feature games’ that are our old favourites at holiday camp. We make every activity interesting and with our team of qualified instructors and teachers we are confident that children will enjoy every aspect.”

One of the big advantages is that the camps are held in one or more locations, spread over the two emirates.

Venues in Abu Dhabi include Repton School (Reem Island), American International School, and New York University, while Jebal Ali School, Hartland International School, Foremarke School and Clarion School are among the locations in Dubai.

Timings are from 09:00 to 14:30, with early drop-off at 08:00 also available.

“When parents enroll their child in any Gulf Star camp we guarantee that they will return home with a smile on their face, and stories to tell,” added Griffiths.

“We also re-assure parents that Gulf Star is well established in the marketplace has a great reputation for providing children’s holiday camps across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, whilst working with some of the most reputable international schools in the UAE.”
