With Ramadan approaching, Yas Marina Circuit have lined up exciting car and karting experiences that will keep you and your friends busy over the Holy month.
Their popular DriveYAS and Yas KartZone activities have been a massive hit since being introduced on the YMC calendar and although the weather’s getting hotter, that shouldn’t stop you from having a fun evening out.
Get behind the wheel in some of the iconic and luxurious cars including the Ferrari 458 GT, Aston Martin GT4, Mercedes-AMG GTS, Jaguar F-type S Coupe or Formula Yas 3000 and drive around the iconic track used by Formula One stars Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
All sessions, which start from Dh700 and must be booked in advance, will be under the guidance of YMC expert instructors and are held between 19:30 to midnight.
“Our passenger and driving experiences at Yas Marina Circuit are very popular and have been with both tourists and people that live throughout the UAE since we launched them back in 2010,” said Faisal Al Sahlawi, head of retail development at YMC.
“As Yas Marina Circuit hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the circuit this makes the experience unique as those that take part get to drive on the same track as the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, all under the watchful eye of our expert instructors.”

As always, your safety is paramount to YMC in enjoying the driving experience. He added: “The length of experience varies on what experience you choose but each session starts with a safety briefing from our instructors, expert information about the car you are driving (or being a passenger in) and then you will be kitted out with all the safety gear you need.
“Once you are ready our instructors will take you onto the track as a passenger or get you behind the wheel to feel the thrill of Yas Marina Circuit.”
If cars aren’t your thing, then head to the KartZone for some karting fun. Taking place from 20:00 to 02:00, it’s a chance to drive around the iconic track as well as the specially designed karting course. Kids aged between eight and 12 will be charged Dh55, while it’s Dh85 for teenagers between 13-18 and Dh110 for adults. There is also a 20 per cent discount for students, who must show their valid student ID.
Al Sahlawi insists not to waste time as the kartzone will be closed from July 1 to September 1 for maintenance.
“The Yas Kartzone is extremely popular and throughout the year we have families, friends and young people visiting us from across the UAE,” he said. “Our activities and karting experiences cater for the whole family, whether you are a first-time driver or have experience, we have something for everyone.”
