  • Budding footballers in Abu Dhabi can learn to play like Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain at Juventus’ brand new academy in the capital.

Located on the football grounds at Abu Dhabi Cricket, just metres away from the iconic cricket stadium, the Italian giants have opened their new centre, giving an opportunity for kids to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The new term is already under way, having began this week with classes held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Run by the club’s Italian approved coaches, children aged from four to 17 will undergo and fun and interactive coaching programme, while also testing themselves in tournaments and leagues.

The programme mirrors the philosophy of Bianconeri, helping the kids take their first steps into football with a training platform devised by some of Europe’s greatest coaches, while also aiming to develop footballers through a vision which combines technical aspects with mental, emotional and interpersonal ones.

On top of that, the players will also have the opportunity to travel to Italy during the summer and  compete in the Juventus Academy World Cup – as well as attending a training experience session.

Just like their first-team, Juventus Academy have built a strong reputation of coaching the stars of tomorrow with up to 80 centres based across the world.

In the UAE, their Dubai academy has proven to be a huge success with already 500 children on their books so far.

And with the project managed by J Sports LLC, a joint venture between Al Masaood Group and FFG Sports Management LLC, Ahmed Al Masaood, vice chairman of Al Masaood Group, believes Abu Dhabi will be no different.

“We are honoured to represent one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Juventus was founded in 1897 and it is the only sports team in the world to be owned by the same family (Agnelli) for 94 years,” he said. “It is a great step to further strengthen the relationship between UAE and Italian culture and is sure to be highly valued by the Abu Dhabi community.”
