Located on the football grounds at Abu Dhabi Cricket, just metres away from the iconic cricket stadium, the Italian giants have opened their new centre, giving an opportunity for kids to enhance their skills and knowledge.
The new term is already under way, having began this week with classes held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Run by the club’s Italian approved coaches, children aged from four to 17 will undergo and fun and interactive coaching programme, while also testing themselves in tournaments and leagues.
The programme mirrors the philosophy of Bianconeri, helping the kids take their first steps into football with a training platform devised by some of Europe’s greatest coaches, while also aiming to develop footballers through a vision which combines technical aspects with mental, emotional and interpersonal ones.
On top of that, the players will also have the opportunity to travel to Italy during the summer and compete in the Juventus Academy World Cup – as well as attending a training experience session.
Just like their first-team, Juventus Academy have built a strong reputation of coaching the stars of tomorrow with up to 80 centres based across the world.
In the UAE, their Dubai academy has proven to be a huge success with already 500 children on their books so far.
And with the project managed by J Sports LLC, a joint venture between Al Masaood Group and FFG Sports Management LLC, Ahmed Al Masaood, vice chairman of Al Masaood Group, believes Abu Dhabi will be no different.
“We are honoured to represent one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Juventus was founded in 1897 and it is the only sports team in the world to be owned by the same family (Agnelli) for 94 years,” he said. “It is a great step to further strengthen the relationship between UAE and Italian culture and is sure to be highly valued by the Abu Dhabi community.”

On the heels of a successful inaugural league of the Touch Super 6s, rugby lovers can continue to compete in the first Touch Super 6s Championships next month.
To be held at Dubai Sports City on Friday, January 12, the tournament is set to once again bring together rugby enthusiasts from across the UAE to showcase the region’s talent. Register your team with a squad of up to 14 players for Dh1,200 and play in one of three categories: Men’s, Mixed and Ladies.
For those wanting to play in the second league of the Touch Super 6s, the competition gets under way on January 10 and runs for 10 weeks until March 21.
Teams can register for the league for Dh3,200. In the first season, Patu claimed the crown for the Men’s division, while Kahu earned the Ladies title and the Untouchables won the Mixed Division 2 category.
The competition is expected to once again be at a high level in both the second league and the tournament, which will have a prize giving ceremony at Kickers Sports Bar to award the winners and keep the party going.
Victoria Hepworth, partner at Corporate Affair Event Management and organiser of the Super 6s League, said: “With lots of experience setting up the Middle East Touch Championships and the Zurich Corporate Touch 6s Tournament, and through our great working relationship with METouch, we were confident that the demand for a new touch league was out there, and we weren’t wrong.
“League 1 sold out extremely quickly and, moving forward, we have been able to secure some extra pitch time which has allowed us to grow the up and coming League 2, which we’re thrilled about.
“We’re delighted that the majority of teams from League 1 are coming back for more in January – high praise indeed. The Super 6s also aims to provide a platform for developing referees in the area. We ran a 1 FIT certified course last month which saw more than 25 people graduate onto level 2.
“We’re really pleased to be able to support the sport on so many levels – here’s to a successful 2018.” For more information and to sign up for the league or tournament, visit www.super6s-dubai.com
