  • There’s still a few weeks to go until Gulf Star Sports’ summer camps return but now is the time to take advantage of their early bird discount before it ends on Thursday.

Running in July and August, across various locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, kids aged between 3 to 13 can look forward to a variety of activities including basketball, football, dodge ball, swimming and gymnastics.

Gulf Star Sports are no strangers to hosting camps with years being a huge success and this year’s will be no different.

“Gulf Star have been successfully running summer camps in the UAE for the past five years,” said Matthew Ralton, senior operations manager at Gulf Star Sports.

“Our summer camps bring together qualified teams of teachers, sports coaches and administrators to deliver the highest quality camps in the UAE. Children can benefit from staying active during the hot summer months whilst learning in a safe environment and developing a variety of new technical and social skills whilst having fun and making friends.”

He added: “There will be a wide range of sporting activities that kids will be doing with football, basketball, tag rugby, dodge ball, gymnastics, arts and crafts, martial arts, swimming and dancing among those on the list.

“There will also be a wide range of `feature games’ and old favorites during the holiday camp. These are based on teamwork, movement, tactics and fun, so if you hear your child say `I’m king of the ring’ or `we won capture the nest’, it’s most likely relating to the very popular activities that we incorporate into the day.”

One of the big pluses is that their camps are held in multiple destinations in Al Ain (Brighton College), Dubai (Foremarke School, Clarion School, Jebel Ali School) and Abu Dhabi (Repton School, Reach British School, New York University and American International School).

The prices costs Dh735 per week for the early bird offer, Dh2,625 for monthly (summer sizzler promotion) or Dh3,999 for the whole summer. Day rates are also available on request. Timings are from 09:00 to 14:30, with early drop-off at 08:00 and late pick-up at 16:00 also available.

Ralton insists there’s plenty of positives on why parents should enroll their children.

“Gulf star camps are available all summer at highly competitive rates, including discount for early and long-term bookings,” he said. “Staff to child ratios on Gulf Star summer camps are amongst the best in the UAE, ensuring that we provide a fun, safe and nurturing environment for your children.

“They will also gain a wealth of new knowledge, physical competencies and social skills that they will be able to carry forward into their every day lives.”
