Ice-skating, bowling and beach volleyball are just some of the activities that children can enjoy as the popular Zayed Sports City’s (ZSC) holiday camp returns this month.
Youth aged between five and 14 can look forward to a wide range of activities during the camp to be held from March 29 to April 2 and April 5 to 9 at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi. The cost of the five-day camp is Dh900 which will run from 08:30 to 17:30.
Last year, organisers ZSC had hired additional staff to accommodate the 200 youths in their spring edition, while their summer programme was a sell-out.
Besides the traditional sports, children will also undertake arts and craft activities, watch films as well as take part in fitness games and team-work challenges.
For the first time, ZSC have added the ‘Wet N Wild’ programme to their agenda, meaning kids can look forward to a water-based version of paintball.
Barry Bremner, general manager at ZSC, isn’t surprised the camps have gone from strength to strength each year.
“Our team is very enthusiastic about the camp and do a phenomenal job of keeping the children engaged and active throughout the day,” said Bremner.
“Zayed Sport City has a great track record with community programmes and our camp is no exception. The kids will have fun and get involved in lots of things throughout the day.
“They will make new friends, learn new skills, gain confidence and, most importantly for the parents, they will go to bed very tired.”
He added: “ZSC Kids Holiday Camp rates extremely high with parents, not only in the feedback forms that we collect but also in the re-registration rate.
“They believe we have a good variety of activities and they’re really comfortable with our level of professionalism and warmth in dealing with the children.
“We ensure we are responsive to their suggestions and are keen to enhance both the kids’ experience with each new session."
