The inaugural edition, set to take place at The Track Meydan Golf Clubhouse in Dubai on Friday, April 10 at 07:00, is open to runners aged 14 and above.
With the UAE Athletics Federation, Majid Al Futaim and Fitness First associated with the event, there’s something for everyone whether you’re an experienced or beginner runner with two different distances 3km (fun run) and 10km to choose from.

Mehr Un Nisa, event director of Team Sports UAE, said: “Team Sports UAE’s purpose is to facilitate the runners and to provide such an environment that they will enjoy and we want them to join on Friday.”
She added: “It’s a running event that is open to the whole public and anyone can participate. There are many runs like this in the UAE which is good to see and with the temperature increasing it’s a chance for people to get outdoors and take part in an event that is family-friendly before the community sporting event season ends.”
The event will have eight different age categories in the 10km distance, ranging from 14 and above, with prizes worth Dh20,000 up for grabs.
Un Nisa said: “There will be medals, attractive prizes and vouchers available to win as we want to reward the efforts of those who do well in the run. From the organiser’s point of view, it’s a way of motivating and encouraging them to take part.”
With just five days remaining until the deadline, Un Nisa urges people not to miss out on this opportunity.
“It’s a running event that family and friends can take part in,” she said. “While there are some competitive elements to the run, it’s about the participation. With over 500 people signed up for Friday’s run, we are impressed with the entry numbers but we are inviting more to join as it will be an experience they will not want to forget.”
The route will start and finish at The Track Meydan Golf Clubhouse with a water station available at every 2km. Before the run, there will be a warm-up session by Fitness First while City Centre Clinic will provide free BMI check-ups.
