Dubai’s premier water park is now giving you a chance to hold your birthday celebrations at their venue with free entry during your birthday week. All you have to do is register your date of birth on their website and you’ll receive a voucher that can be redeemed on your birthday and up to six days later for free admission.
Even if you don’t have a birthday on the way, Aquaventure is the perfect place to fight the heat with a number of rides and slides to get your heart pumping.
The water park’s signature ride, the Leap of Faith, delivers thrills with its nine-story tall slide that sends you nearly vertically down into a tunnel which travels through a sharks and cownose rays enclosure.
If you can’t get enough sharks, then get in an inner-tube with another rider or go solo into the Shark Attack journey to find yourself in the middle of a sharkfilled lagoon.
Finish off the rides at Tower of Neptune with the various water coasters, all featuring their own paths through dark tunnels. The four coasters propel with jets of water before sending riders to the lazy river. At the Tower of Poseidon, more adventure awaits.
The Aquaconda, self-proclaimed as the “world’s largest waterslide”, will send you on a wild ride through a twisting tunnel before entering the largest fibre glass tube in the world.
Follow that up with another ride sure to take your breath away in Poseidon’s Revenge. Riders will enter a capsule and wait for the floor to drop out, sending you in a plummet at speeds of 60kmph.
Zoomerango offers its own attraction with a plummets and zooms, while Slitherine allows you to race your friends in a waterslide within a waterslide.
Travel the water park through its river rides – The Rapids, the wave generator of The Torrent and the zero entry pools. Wind down after the rides on 700 metres of Aquaventure Beach or at the private cabanas, while the kids enjoy Splashers area with slippery slides and water games.
Aquaventure, located at Atlantis, The Palm, is open daily from 10:00 to sunset, depending on time of year. The cost of entry for UAE residents is Dh185 for adults and Dh160 for children.
