Test yourself with a series of fun and challenging obstacles as Talise Fitness hosts their final Sandstorm event of the season in Dubai this Friday.
As teams of three, climb, crawl, run or jump through a series of unique challenges on sand and sea at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
More than 50 teams have signed up but there’s still time to join them with registration closing on Thursday midnight.

Now in its fifth edition, the event has gone from strength to strength and it’s easy to see why with the athletes competing against the stunning backdrop of the Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
Those events have been hugely popular, attracting hundreds of athletes and Friday looks set to be no different.
“This is our fifth one that we’ve organised since it was launched in November 2014,” said Tim Dorrington, general manager of Talise Fitness at Jumeriah Beach Hotel.
“Obstacle courses have become incredibly popular in Dubai and we saw an opportunity to create something a little bit different to what is currently offered.
"We were never going to compete with the big events like Desert Warriors but we only have the hotel beaches but that in itself are iconic locations.”
He added: “So far we have got around 60 teams which is great news but from previous experience, we do see the number of entries increase during the last few days.”
Whether you’re an experienced athlete or trying out the event for the first time, the 4km Sandstorm course has something for everyone.
Three different categories are on offer – Competitive (begins at 07:00), Intermediate from 07:45 and Casual, which starts forty-five minutes later.
Entries is open to participants aged 16 and above with team fees costing Dh600. It promises a day not to be missed.
Dorrington said: “The great thing about the Sandstorm is while it’s a team event, a lot of the stations is involved around team work. It’s not something you can do something by yourself. You need the support of your team-mates to get you through.
“It’s a great event where you can spend a Friday morning and meet likeminded people.
“Even if you are not the fittest, you can still have fun with various categories on offer.”
He added: “What we want to do is make the most of the iconic facilities that we have available and give participants an experience that is not only challenging but also a lot of fun, and something that can be enjoyed across all fitness levels.”
