  • Standing tall: Stand-up Paddleboard is very popular in the UAE.

Watersports continue to thrive in the UAE and Aloha Arabia are doing their part by providing adventure to water lovers across the nation.

The local surf company, located in Dubai, is now offering Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) and snorkelling trips to Dibba.

The new day package is an expansion of Aloha Arabia’s usual ‘Surfaris’ around the UAE and to Oman, allowing for even more people to enjoy and experience the beautiful coastline of Dibba.

Earlier this month, the inaugural trip saw paddlers spend the morning learning how to SUP before paddling around Dibba Rock, along with some snorkelling.

Lunch capped the day and the ‘Surf Bus’ returned to Dubai, completing the first what should be many successful enjoyable trips.

“We’ve seen an incredible response from the community to our Surfing trips that we organise to Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah, with the Oman Summer Surfaris being one of our busiest seasons,” said Carl de Villiers, founder of Aloha Arabia.

“We’ve always wanted to develop Aloha Arabia to offer a range of board riding sports for people to enjoy here in the region. We’re now very excited to be launching the next board riding trip, this time on a paddleboard, to beautiful Dibba.”

Aloha Arabia is a division of Surf Shop Arabia, which also owns Surf School Arabia. The entire venture was created by De Villiers more than six years ago to add more surfing and SUP to the region.

With a growing demand for surfing trips in the area, Aloha Arabia opened to take tours to Oman first, followed by neighbouring countries Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Now, boarding trips are available through the Surf Bus, a 15-seater van used for SUP, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, flowriding and wakeboarding tours.

Big hit: Day trips involve different watersports with next one on Friday.

As the watersport community in the UAE continues to expand and the appetite for more water activities grows, Aloha Arabia are doing it all to help the development.

“Stand Up Paddleboarding is the fastest growing watersport on the planet, and we’re just touching the surface of concepts we’d like to introduce to the UAE,” said Mari de Villiers, marketing and communications manager for Aloha Arabia.

“This day trip offers people a relaxed environment to enjoy Stand Up Paddleboarding, meet new people and also enjoy getting outdoors for the day and experiencing more of the nature that the Emirates has to offer.”

The next SUP trip takes place tomorrow (Friday) to Dibba Rock, from 07:00 to 14:00.
