Australian Jason Day has claimed his fourth title of the year, beating Henrik Stenson by six strokes at The Barclays.
Day, who started the final day level with Sangmoon Bae at the top of the leaderboard, moved out on his own with eight birdies during a blemish-free fourth round 62.

That took him to 19 under overall and was more than enough to seal victory at Plainfield Country Club, a fortnight after he won the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
“I’m really going to try to make this push for the FedEx Cup, it’s been a really good summer for me but I never expected to come out and play the way I did today,” he said on Sky Sports 4. “I just was very patient with myself, but there’s a lot of people I have to thank, it’s been an amazing year for me. The work and dedication I’ve put in over the years seems like it’s finally paying off.”
Stenson was the nearest to Day on 13 under, but he never looked like usurping the world number three, despite moving up from fourth.
After starting the final day level-pegging with Day, Bae fell 10 shots behind after a disappointing fourth-round 72. The South Korean hit five bogeys, including three back-to-back on eight, nine and 10, to end up tied in sixth.

Way down in 30th place, Brian Harman had a memorable day nonetheless as he carded two hole-in-ones on Sunday.
The American sunk an ace on the third and then repeated the feat on the 14th before being inches away from doing it for a third time on the 17th.
Harman revealed that he has made around six or seven aces when “messing around”, but this was the first time he managed the feat on the PGA Tour.
“I’m still in a little shock about it,” he told the PGA Tour. “It’s pretty crazy to play a hundred-some-odd tournaments and never have one, but to have two in the same tournament is pretty awesome.”
