  • Expert: Martin Robinson will host a seminar to help improve the mental side of your game.

Golfers of all abilities are invited to attend Saadiyat Beach Golf Club’s prestigious Academy this month, as the revolutionary Trained Brain programme returns on February 20 along with a brand new Short Game Handicap test evening on February 27.

PGA Professional and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) master practitioner Martin Robinson will host a ‘Trained brain’ seminar designed to transform your mental game.

The session will focus on the key mental elements needed to maximise performance and how you can achieve that all important winning mindset.

Speaking ahead of the first Trained Brain session of 2014, Robinson said: “The Trained Brain programme was set up in 2012 with the specific aim of helping players to fast-track their game and achieve lower scores through boosting their mental performance.”

By identifying a player’s individual patterns of play, habits and reactions out on the golf course, we are able help them overcome high pressure situations and optimise their talent when it matters most.”

Also launching this month will be Saadiyat Beach Golf Club’s new Short Game Handicap test evening, designed to put your short game skills to the test through a series of fun assessments.

Participants will be measured on chipping, pitching, bunker shots, lob shots and putting, before being issued with an individual ‘short game handicap’.

The class aims to change players’ outlook towards practice and ultimately help reshape their game.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club PGA qualified coach Paul Hubner said: “With 75 percent of shots played in a round taken from 100 yards or less from the hole, a strong short game is key to good scores out there on the course. Through our new programme we are encouraging players to recognise this fact and improve their game when in and around the green.”

With the Trained Brain seminar priced at just AED 75 for members and AED 100 for non-members and the Short Game handicap test evening just AED 50, both classes are competitively priced and available to players of all abilities.
