If you’re looking to fine tune your golf skills or learn something new this summer then head to the Abu Dhabi City Golf Club (ADCGC) for their “Summer Sizzlers”.
As the oldest golf course in the UAE capital, ADCGC has grown to become one of the most popular clubs in Abu Dhabi since its establishment in 1998. And with it being the middle of summer, they have lined up some fun golfing activities for people to enjoy
Their activities include coaching lessons with discount rates at lunchtimes and special prices for different 15, 20 and 30 rounds of play. So far the activities, which began in mid-June have been a huge success.
Steve Johns, head of PGA golf professional at ADCGC, said: “The attendance so far has been very good and our customers have been amazed at the value for money and the access to the facilities that they receive.
“We have specifically organised several tailor-made packages that offers outstanding value for money to all levels of any golfer.
“We realise that the summer is a great time for people who have a little more time on their hands than usual to get into activities – and after all golf is THE game.”
And whether you’ve played golf or not, the activities are open to all people regardless of your playing abilities. If you fancy attending the coaching sessions, then you can choose from five, 10 or 20 hour classes under the guidance of a qualified PGA instructor.
“Our five hour coaching package is the perfect opportunity for new golfers to learn about the game and what it’s all about,” said Johns.
“After their five hours with our highly qualified PGA instructors, they will fall in love with golf, and that is a guarantee. We provide all of the equipment required, as well as expert coaching, shade and lots of cold water and towels.’
Five hour sessions cost Dh1,499, while 10 hours of coaching is Dh2,899. And if you want 20 hours of coaching then it’s Dh4,449.
Besides the coaching packages, ADCGC are offering an “invaluable gapping/fitting” session from 06:00 to 22:00 for Dh199. You can use this facility to find out your yardage and find out if your clubs are a correct fit for you.
“Our promotions allow people to learn, practice, develop or play golf during this period at a very affordable price,” said Johns.
“We want to show that golf is an amazing sport and that everyone should give it go. And it’s not as expensive as most non-golfers think it is. It’s one of the fastest growing sports in the UAE and our Summer Sizzlers are the perfect way to learn all about it.”
