Field set for inaugural Sharjah Summer Senior Open
More than 40 golfers are expected to compete at Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club this Saturday in the club’s first ever Summer Senior Open Golf Championship.

The golfers, all aged over 50, will start at 15:00 to avoid the most extreme temperatures, and compete over 18 holes of 7/8 net stableford.

Golf events manager Mark Ruddy said: “Our two previous Winter Senior Opens have both been very well supported with full fields, reasonable scoring and not a single no-show – which is extremely impressive. The seniors clearly like competing against each other so we therefore thought we’d try a summer edition.”
