DeKock and Schroderus clinch EGF Summer Swing glory in Abu Dhabi

    Abu Dhabi Golf Club (ADGC) hosted the second of three Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Summer Swing events on Friday with Chris DeKock and Arto Schroderus claiming victory.

    The small field of golfers competed in a Pairs Shamble Stableford format at Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s par-72 Championship course that plays host to the HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.

    DeKock and Schroderus came out on top after a count back with a total of 45 points. The winners received trophies and a two-night stay at Westin Hotels & Resorts – Abu Dhabi, the lead sponsors of the tournament.

    Peter Lane and Jermeiah Kaplan finished in second place, earning a one-night stay at the Westin.

    Rounding off the top three was Tim Taylor and Patrick Stevens who secured third-place on a count back after scoring 43 points.

    During the event there were also two on-course challenges for the players as Peter Lane won both Nearest To The Pin and the Longest Drive.
    The Summer Swing will be back in action on September 25 at Jumierah Golf Estates for the third and final event of 2015.
