It is your last chance to sign up for the Glow and Go Run with registrations closing at midnight tonight.
Following the successful inaugural edition in May that saw hundreds take part, organisers are looking to make it even better.
Taking place on Friday, September 26 at Wadi Adventure Park in Al Ain, it promises to be a night full of fun.
Open to participants aged 12 years and over, Glow and Go offers something different where people overcome obstacles by jumping, crawling, climbing and swimming.
With it being a 5km run and not a race – your clocked time won’t matter and you can take as long as you want to complete the distance. It’s up to you whether you want to run, walk or jog.
“Over 300 people of different ages took part in the first edition in May which is a great number considering that it was the first time we held the run,” said Maya Hanna, sales and marketing manager at Wadi Adventure.
“The feedback from the first event was great and we hope to have even more people compete now that the temperature is getting cooler.”
The entry fee is Dh150 per person which includes a goody bag, refreshments, t-shirts and glow items to wear during the event.
And once you finish the run, you can cool down by the pool and listen and dance to tunes played by the in-house DJ.
Hanna is calling more people to sign up with the emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“First of all, exercise is very important as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” she said.
“Anyone who takes part will find it fun and exciting, and they won’t even realise they are exercising.
“It’s also a chance to take part with your work colleagues, friends or family. It’s a great experience because it’s a very unique event in the UAE.”
Hanna advises wearing bright colour clothing for those who do take part.
She said: “There is no specific colours to wear but the brighter the better. We will be providing them with t-shirts and glow sticks that they can wear during the run.”
