Up until recently, we only associated the term 'Muscle Beach' with the original Santa Monica Muscle Beach which brought out the greater Los Angeles fitness set out under the sun.
But now, Dubai has its own Muscle Beach – and it comes in the form of the Warehouse Gym’s new outdoor gym.
Located at The Beach in JBR (and, literally, on the beach), the outdoor facility consists of a CrossFit rig and is decked out with the usual weight training equipment.
It is open for anyone to use, either to use for their own training or join one of the group classes they will be running, which include CrossFit, Spin and Commando circuit classes.
If you want to head there to do your own training, entrance fees are 60 Dhs from Sunday to Thursday and 90 Dhs on weekends.
The CrossFit classes, tentatively starting on Sunday 1st March, will have different class pricing which is yet to be announced.
Until the outdoor flood lights are set up, Muscle Beach will be open from 7am – 6pm.

The gym is located on The Beach, a little past Joe's Cafe and about a five minute walk along the running track from Eggspectation.
