In celebration of UAE National Sports Day, international health and sports company, InnerFight, is transporting one of the brand’s renowned group strength and conditioning CrossFit classes out of its 5,000 square foot sports facility to an outdoor workout area with ocean views.

Kicking off at 7pm on Wednesday 25 November at Dubai International Marine Club (Le Meridien Mina Seyahi) and headed up by CrossFit athlete and Personal Performance Coach at InnerFight, Carmen Bosmans, attendees can expect to burpee, squat and run by the sea in support of the event’s mandate to “promote a healthy society” in the UAE.

An objective close to the heart of InnerFight Founder, Marcus Smith, the former professional rugby player and CrossFit competitor launched InnerFight’s own community initiative, the Intisaar Foundation in 2014, to offer Emirati youths free bi-weekly training to improve their physical and mental fitness.

The first product of the Intisaar programme, the name of which means victory in Arabic, is Mohammad Kasim, who arrived at InnerFight in early 2014 weighing 200kg. He is now 97kg, and will take part in the UAE National Sports Day CrossFit class.

“It’s awesome to play a part in a country-wide event like UAE National Sports Day, which is promoting healthy living across our seven Emirates," said Marcus Smith.

"It’s a fantastic platform to bring the importance of fitness to the fore as well as provide inspiration and motivation to people across the country and at all levels of fitness to improve their lives through exercise.

"Promoting a healthy lifestyle is a true passion point for me, so it’s really exciting to see this come to life across the country”.
