Clemens Schmid made up for the disappointment of a first corner incident in Race 1 on Friday by winning Race 2 of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East on Saturday at Dubai Autodrome.
Schmid made a good start from second on the grid, taking an early lead from reigning champion Zaid Ashkanani who started from pole position.
Thereafter the pair spent the entire race nose to tail, with Ashkanani stalking Schmid all the way to the chequered flag, waiting for a mistake or slight opportunity that never came.
Local hero Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum finished third after starting fifth on the grid in the Skydive Dubai Falcons car.
Team-mate Saeed Al Mehairi was fifth, after winning a day earlier on his home track, and making it a strong weekend for the Dubai-based outfit.
In the NGK Racing Series, Bentley driver Michael Ammermueller qualified in pole position and took an early lead, but a start infringement earned him a drive through penalty which gave Mercedes driver Lim Keong Lam the break he needed to take victory. Wolfgang Triller was third in a Porsche.
Gernot Dobida won the UAE Sportbikes Championship race on his Honda, ahead of Kawasaki mounted Abdulaziz Binladen with Honda rider Mahmoud Tannir third.
Tejas Hirani won the FG 1000 race from Edi Haxhiu and Mashur Bal Hejaila in second and third respectively.
