After a hugely successful Yas Super Street Challenge season, where both driver and spectator numbers have grown, motor sport enthusiasts and drivers witnessed the top racers go head to head to compete for Dh40,000 in cash prizes and the ‘King of the Streets’ title.

Over two days, racers clashed in five distinct categories – ‘4×4 Super Street SUV’; ‘Index 11.5’; ‘Index 10.5’; ‘Super Street’ and ‘Super Street – Open Category’.

Salah’s consistency saw him aggregated the most points and he walked away with the Dh10,000 top prize, in addition to the money won in the past races.

A delighted Salah said: “It’s the second year I have won the ‘King of the Streets’ title as I was lucky enough to win last year too.

“It has been great to see so many people involved in the Yas Super Street Challenge. The series is growing year on year. I must thank Yas Marina Circuit as they do a great job of putting on the series.”

After a tightly fought competition, the ‘Super Street Open Category’ was won by Waleed Ahmad, followed by Mohammad Ali Ahmad and Mourgi Al Kothari.

Salah then won the ‘Super Street’, with second and third place awarded to Salem Mohammad Said and Taleb Muhammad, respectively.

In ‘Index 10.5’ category, Fadi Tmour beat Hisham Al Khateb to win, while Josi Koto beat Waleed Al Yafi in the ‘Index 11.5’ category.

The final category was the ‘4×4 Super Street SUV’ category, which was won by Madjed Al Koumiti, with Mohammad Al Mshgouni second and Salem Bilal Mbarak third.
