  • Team Come Alive won Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi’s ‘Survival of the Fittest’ challenge, beating 17 challengers on their way to victory.

The four-member team defeated the field in a series of specially-designed bouts of jousting, various races, competitive eating, paddling and puzzles.

It wasn’t all about one’s athletic ability – teams were tested on their cognitive skills and consumption abilities, as well as physical prowess.

The challenges included collecting balls from the waterpark’s Amwaj Pool, jousting their rivals into the water, devouring a cheese cake and slushie, putting together a giant puzzle and many other amusing antics that kept park visitors entertained all afternoon.

“The Survival of the Fittest challenge at Yas Waterworld was an excellent idea from start to finish,” said Chris Fraser, leader of the winning team.

“There was a great sense of rivalry among the competitors, an excellent audience and the tasks set out were a lot of fun and really tested our skill and endurance.

“We are glad we participated and are thrilled to have won.”

The other members of the winning team were Andrew Millar, David Prokopiak and Dave Harper. Team Bokiwi was second and Adventure HQ was placed third.
