  • The Madrid legend scooped the award for the fourth time.

    It’s hard to argue that Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t fully deserve his latest triumph, given he has won both the Champions League and European Championships in 2016.

    And Ronaldo’s success continued his and Lionel Messi’s domination of world football’s greatest individual prize.

    Indeed, Brazilian Kaka was the last winner outside of these two stars, in 2007.

    What a year it’s also been for Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy, who finished seventh and eighth…

    Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, however, found his 16th place behind Vardy somewhat laughable….
