    Tweet of the week
Triple crown champion Alberto Contador warmed up for the 2015 season with an unlikely achievement – summiting Mount Kilimanjaro alongisde his Tinkoff-Saxo team.

Fifty one of the 71 team members successfully reached the top of the highest mountain in Africa including Contador, directeur sportif Bjarne Riis and new signings Peter Sagan and Ivan Basso.

Nelson Piquet’s awkward interview is the pits
Former driver Nelson Piquet conducted a cringeworthy interview with Lewis Hamilton on the Brazilian Grand Prix podium, asking the British ace about his pop singer girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger. Let’s just say no one was impressed.

    Alexis Sanchez speaks too soon
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez fell into the trap of tweeting before playing as he predicted his side would down Swansea last weekend. Instead, Swansea beat the Gunners 2-1 and members of the Swans squad taunted Sanchez for speaking too soon.

    London calls for Grigor Dimitrov
Grigor Dimitrov blew off a stand-by spot at the ATP World Tour Finals in London for a trip with his girlfriend Maria Sharapova.. in London!!!

Not only did he miss out on a chance to play at the elite season finale, he also passed on a chance to be part of Tomas Berdych’s epic ‘selfies’.

His presence in London did not go unnoticed by the ATP World Tour, who urged him to “pay a visit” to the O2.

Irrespective of why Dimitrov chose to skip the Finals, that pose in the photo he tweeted is inexcusable!
