    Cristiano Ronaldo broke his Juventus duck to help his side move three points clear at the top of Serie A with a 2-1 win against Sassuolo.

    The first half remained goalless at the Allianz Stadium but the Portuguese talisman grabbed his first goal since his summer switch from Real Madrid just five minutes after the restart from close range.

    The forward only needed to wait 15 minutes longer for his second as he collected a pass from Emre Can before drilling into the bottom right corner to double Juventus’ lead.

    Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was furious at Douglas Costa for ‘rising to provocation’ and being sent off for spitting in the face of a rival, after Ronaldo has scored his first goals for Juventus in their win over Sassuolo.

    Pakistan got their Asia Cup preparation off to the perfect start at the Dubai International Cricket stadium as they thrashed Hong Kong by eight wickets in their Group A clash.

    The minnows elected to bat first after skipper Anshy Rath won the toss but were unable to put a significant dent in the scoreboard after being bowled out for just 116 runs.
