Sport360 picks out the highlights from the sporting Twittersphere with Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao all featuring.

The sandstorm made for some unusual practice sessions for the tennis players earlier this week in Dubai and Novak Djokovic’s tweet below says it all. Fernando Verdasco was held up at Dubai airport for eight hours but at least he finally made it out to enjoy the lovely view from his hotel. Roger Federer celebrated Chinese New Year at the Burj Al Arab. Meanwhile Juan Ignacio Chela mocked Ernests Gulbis unorthodox forehand.

Big fight get announced on social media
We’ve all been waiting five years for this, so it was little surprise Twitter blew up after the confirmation of a mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. In fact, the fight was even announced on social media, with Floyd trying to drum up business for his own app ‘Shots’ by posting a picture of a signed contract on there. But the rest of the world was soon tweeting appreciation for the May 2 bout.

    Keith Olbermann’s Penn poison
ESPN anchor Keith Olbermann was suspended from his show this week after a series of tweets directed at Penn State students. Olbermann, who was most recently critical of Penn State on his ESPN show in January after Joe Paterno’s vacated wins were restored, was told on Twitter by a user about the $13 million raised by Penn State students for pediatric cancer. The tweets below were his response. Naturally, later he backtracked.

Some interesting trades took place in the NBA while F1 driver Felipe Massa wished his ex-teammate Fernando Alonso well after the Spaniard checked out of hospital following an accident.
