“National Ambulance is proud to be sponsoring Sport360°’s National School League Basketball,” said National Ambulance chief executive officer Robert Ball.

“We are committed to supporting local sport and the league shares our values of respect, excellence and integrity. An active involvement in sport is very important for the life-long health and welfare of children, so support at grassroots level gives them a healthy start and provides long-term benefits to the community.”

Stadium marketing manager Samantha Warrayat said: “Stadium is delighted to be a key sponsor of this year’s National School League Basketball and we are very much looking forward to working with Sport360 to ensure it is a great success for all those involved.

“As a brand, Stadium is committed to enabling and encouraging its consumers of all ages and abilities to be active and to enjoy a fit and healthy lifestyle; what better place to start than at grassroots level in UAE schools.

“Basketball is a game that enjoys a lot of support in the UAE. We wish all the participating schools and teams the very best of luck and look forward to watching some exciting basketball games.”

Schools from across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will compete across the under-14 and under-16 age groups. International School Choueifat Abu Dhabi coach Stefanita Buzatu believes the tournament is exactly what is needed in the nation’s capital.

“The kids pushed me to accept this tournament, they really want to play. It’s a challenge for them,” Buzatu said.

“It’s great for all the schools. It’s the first big tournament in Abu Dhabi.”

After the success of NSL Cricket, NSL Basketball is expected to continue giving more opportunities for the sporting stars of tomorrow.

“We are excited to start the newest chapter of the National School League series,” said Sport360 sports events manager Matt Burn.

“NSL Cricket was a great success and our team is looking to build on this success with basketball. The focus once again will be on the children and ensuring that they play in a safe, fair and professional environment.

“The greatest talent in UAE youth basketball will be on display during the league and we wish all the best to the teams participating.”
