Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, 60 today, is a former Bayern Munich and Germany football captain who is now chairman of the European Club Association.
Known in his playing days as King Kalle, Rummenigge helped Bayern to triumphs in the Intercontinental and European Cup as well as two league titles and two domestic cups.
As a member of the West Germany national team, the fearsome striker won the 1980 European Championship and was part of the squad that finished runner-up in the 1982 and 1986 World Cups.
He was also honoured twice as European Footballer of the Year.
