Get ready to go crazy with colour once again as the NeoRun returns for a special Halloween edition later this month.
Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi will host the popular event on Thursday, October 29 and you and your friends can enjoy a stunning kaleidoscope of colours.
The UAE stage many running events throughout the year but the NeoRun is something that stands out from the rest.
Whether you walk, run or jog around the 5km course, dress up in your creepiest costume and be ready to be spooked, splashed and sprayed by glowing neon paint at one of the ‘Glo Zones’.
And after completing the 5km course, join the ‘Enigma Party’ at the finish line with renowned DJs playing popular tunes.
The last time NeoRun was held in the UAE, it attracted more than 4,000 runners of all abilities. And this month’s looks set to be even bigger and better.
“With our latest NeoRun, our goal is to bring much more fun than the traditional 5K run,” said Pach Ang, founder and creator of NeoRun. “We are adding the creeps of Halloween into a neotastic gloing night run.
“It is the healthiest way of having fun this Halloween and the run will become an entertainment in itself.”
He added: “When we hosted our first NeoRun in Dubai, which was the first in the Middle East last year, it attracted more than 4,000 people.
“And that event was something the residents had never seen before, it was unique. People in the UAE love to have fun and this is the perfect environment for them to be able to do it.”
Entry is open to participants aged 10 and above, although children must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets cost Dh165 per person, while a group of four can be purchased for Dh600.
Ang said: “We invite runners to ‘Dress to Thrill’ in their best Halloween costumes while they make their way through the eerie track.
“Larger than life zombies, skeletons and a haunted house will decorate the track, making this a run like no other.
“If you want to have fun, be healthy and get spooked this Halloween then the NeoRun is the place for you.”
