    Australia and West Indies made cricket history on this day in 1960 when they tied a Test for the first time with the final over bowled by pacer Wes Hall provided thrilling theatre in Brisbane.

    Richie Benaud and Wally Grout were at the crease as Australia at 227-7, needed six more runs to win from the eight-ball over.

    Off the first five balls, the Aussies managed three but lost Benaud. Ian MecKiff swung the sixth to the mid-wicket fence but Conrad Hunte cut it and ran out Grout, attempting a third run. Scores were tied with Australia nine down.

    Lindsay Kline rushed for a single off the seventh but Joe Solomon’s direct hit caught MecKiff short and Australia were all out for 232 paving way for a sensational result.

    1974: Viv Richards records his first Test century with a score of 192 against India, with 20 fours and six sixes.
