  • It’s not just Equestrian on offer as there’s a chance to showcase your shooting skills.

Al Forsan International Sports Resort’s exciting offerings extend into the winter with plenty of activities for kids on break from school.

The Winter Camp is the perfect place to be as you enjoy the school holidays, with a range of course options available.

Kids will be placed into age groups, which include Discoverers for ages four to five, Adventurers for ages six to seven and Knights for ages eight to 12.

The camp will run until Thursday, January 7, between Sundays and Thursdays.

You can either participate in the Early Bird Camp from 07:30 to 09:00 for an additional Dh20 or the Late Stay Camp from 15:00 to 17:30 for an additional Dh30.

That’s not the only camp running at Al Forsan this winter, however.

An Equestrian Camp, also held until January 7, will be a haven for horse-lovers to gain more experience.

Participants will be invited to aid Al Forsan’s world class vet team, help groom the horses and also improve their riding.

The registration fee is Dh150, with a number of options for course length, including one day for Dh300, one week for Dh1,400, two weeks for Dh2,700 or three weeks for Dh3,800.

Al Forsan is one of the finest sports resorts in the UAE and is offering a great winter camp.

Both the Winter and Equestrian Camp are in addition to Al Forsan’s running Abu Dhabi Sports Council Sporting Clays Competition.

There’s still time to showcase your shooting skills, with the event under way until the end of the year.

Shooters can fire off either 12, 20 or 26 gauge shotguns as they battle for the title of top marksman.

The top three shooters will take part in a shoot-off for a chance to bring home a trophy, as well as Dh5,000 for first place, Dh3,000 for second place and Dh2,000 for third place. The entry fee for the competition is Dh250.

While you enjoy the winter-specific camps and competitions, don’t forget about Al Forsan’s wide variety of activities available on a daily basis.

The resort is open seven days a week and all visitors receive complimentary access and parking to experience the facilities.
