  • Dominant: Aussies.

The Aussies were on a roll in the 2013-14 Ashes and took a 4-0 lead in the series, on the back of some sensational pace bowling from Mitchell Johnson, going into the New Year’s Test in Sydney.

In the fifth Test, the Aussies were in trouble at 97-5 but were rescued by a ton from Steven Smith.

Then quicks Johnson, Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle picked up three wickets each as the hosts took a lead of 171.

A ton by Chris Rogers in the second innings set up a target of 448 which proved too much for England.

Harris ended up with five wickets in the second innings as the Aussies won by 281 runs, completing their second whitewash of England in seven years.

1984: Utah Jazz’ Adrian Dantley ties Wilt Chamberlain’s free throw record against the Houston Rockets, connecting on 28 of 29 free throws.
