Roman Gonzalez: The consensus is ‘Chocolatito’ is at No1. He is the first four-division world champion to hail from Nicaragua and is unbeaten in 45 fights.

Gennady Golovkin: The Kazakh KO king was given his toughest fight in years against Kell Brook but still left the Brit needing eye surgery. He’s 36-0 with 33 knockouts.

Manny Pacquiao: After making his ring return from retirement to take back the WBO welterweight title from Jessie Vargas, he gets his spot back on the list.

Vasyl Lomachenko: It’s too quick to put him atop the list but he’s in the conversation. His amateur record of 396-1 is absurd and he has only one loss in eight pro fights.

Andre Ward: Despite the controversial circumstances, having defeated Sergey Kovalev the American deserves his spot on the list as he’s now the king at light heavy.
