Super Fight League all set for semi showdown

  • Super Fight League (SFL), the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) league has witnessed a nerve–racking 4 weeks of action packed bouts with Sher-e-Punjab and Delhi Heroes from Team A and Goa Pirates and Bengaluru Tigers from Group B making to the penultimate round of the inaugural season.

    The semi-finals will see a battle of North vs South India with Sher-e-Punjab taking on Tiger Shroff’s Bengaluru Tigers on Friday, 17th February 2017 while Arjun Rampal’s Delhi Heroes will battle it out against Jacqueline Fernandez’s Goa Pirates on Saturday, 18th February 2017 for a place in the finals.

    In week four, it was a must win match for Delhi Heroes to cement their place in the Semi-Finals; whereas Goa Pirates were also in the similar position, as Mumbai Maniacs registered their final win against Bengaluru Tigers.

    In the last league round matches, Delhi Heroes beat Sher-e-Punjab 17-10 on 10th February 2017, while Goa Pirates defeated Gujarat Warriors 17-09 on 12th February 2017 to enter the semi-finals.

    Due to the unique point scoring system introduced by Super Fight League, Mumbai Maniacs were knocked out of the competition from Group B despite being tied on 6 points with Goa and Bengaluru as both Goa and Bengaluru had a superior point difference.
