  • Pacman: Manny Pacquiao is getting into MMA.

Manny Pacquiao has purchased a stake in One Fighting Championship- Asia's largest mixed martial arts organisation.

One FC's CEO Victor Cui is excited about the boxer's expected impact to the sport: "Pacquiao is a global sports icon and having him as a part of our organisation as a shareholder and promoting One FC is huge for the sport in the region. It promotes awareness and growth," Cui told Yahoo Sports.

The popularity of One FC is already huge in the Phillipines but it is bound to improve with the boxing legend's involvement with the brand.

One FC: 'Reign of Champions' is coming to the Middle East for the first time on August 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event is promising fight fans the biggest card in their history, with four world championship fights already scheduled.

Among the stars on show, Shinya 'Tobikan Judan' Aoki will contest his Lightweight World Championship title against MMA veteran Kamal Shalorus, while Ben 'Funky' Askren and ONE FC World Champion Nobutatsu Suzuki will show down in a mouth-watering welterweight clash.
