Mahra are champions of the inaugural Polo Masters Cup after defeating Edrees by 7 goals to 3 in the final, hosted by the Al Habtoor Polo Resort and Club.
Patron Rashid Al Habtoor’s team won the 14 goals handicap tournament despite fierce competition from five other teams.
Al Habtoor was flanked ably by teammates Daniel Gariador, Pelayo Berazadi and Alejandro Novillo Astrada and needed every bit of their skill to beat a determinded Edrees team that never gave up.
However Mahra’s superior accuracy eventually told and from the second chukker they controlled the game with relative ease until the end.
