Elsewhere, the Hackett Rest of World Team overcame Intercontinental UAE team in Brompton bicycle polo, a sport played in the Olympics over 100 years ago.

The highlight of the evening saw host’s RJI Capital Ghantoot Polo Team defeat Royal Salute British Exiles 6-3.

Abdhullah Ben Desmail led the victorious team, and he was ably assisted by teammates Felipe Llorente and Lucas Diaz.

Following an official prize-giving ceremony, guests sat down to a live charity auction raising a total of $46,000 for Women And Health Alliance International (WAHA) launched by Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al-Nahyan.
