  • Fancy some Jiu-Jitsu?: UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and the Wire World Adventure Park will be two of the main attractions at this year’s edition of Abu Dhabi Alive.

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation are taking part for the first time in this year’s Abu Dhabi Alive show, which takes place this year at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi from 13 to 15 November, and will be bringing with them a number of interactive activities.

Visitors can take part in a number of interactive health and fitness features, such as interactive games, a rock climbing wall, fitness classes and cooking demonstrations, as well as get involved in a range of sports they may have never tried before.

Throughout the three day event, there will also be a number of free advice sessions with expert health and fitness professionals, as well as onsite medical checks and body composition assessments hosted by Salama Hospital.

First time exhibitors WL Hospitality Group, who earlier this year announced the world’s largest outdoor adventure park at Meydan, Wire World, will be bringing some of their apparatus down to Abu Dhabi Alive for everyone to test their mettle on some of the UAE’s most trying wire assault courses.

The activities Wire World Adventure Parks are bringing to the show include a mobile adventure course, which consists of 9 obstacles, and a bungee trampoline that includes an exciting Kite Board option.

Alexandra Lebon, Group Director of Business Development and Marketing – WL Hospitality Group said; “What we will be bringing to Abu Dhabi Alive this year has something to offer to all ages and abilities, while also presenting both an exciting challenge, and the benefits of looking after one’s health and wellbeing.”

Following on from the success of their sessions at the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Alive, Dubai Drums, who use extensive rhythm work and group drumming as a tool for team building in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf Region, will be back again to educate the visitors on how this method can create a common language through drumming that allows communication to flow freely among the participants.

One main objective of the workshop is to bring the group to an empowered point where they are able to access the skills required to successfully play polyrhythms.

Free entry is available to everyone, while a charge of only AED5 for one day is applied to those who wish to use the facilities such as the bowling centre, tennis courts and rugby field, which are usually only accessible to the public for prices ranging from AED40 to AED650 per hour.

A two and three day pass, inclusive of facility access, is only AED10, while those who register in advance on www.abudhabialive.ae will gain free entry including access to all facilities.
