  • Mark Cavendish and Sir Bradley Wiggins will take part in the Dubai Tour.

Reigning champion Mark Cavendish will lead a star-studded pelaton that also includes fellow Briton Sir Bradley Wiggins when the Dubai Tour gets underway on February 3.

There will be plenty of big names coming to the UAE for the Tour, which starts next Wednesday and finishes on Saturday, including Philippe Gilbert, Fabian Cancellara, Tony Martin, Elia Viviani and Marcel Kittel.

The four-stage race includes Dubai Silicon Oasis, Nakheel, Business Bay and The Westin, with new features for 2016 including the first finish in the Fujairah Emirate (Dubai Silicon Oasis stage) and a new venue for the last sprint at Business Bay district.

Cavendish won the Dubai Tour last year following a dominant sprint finish on the final day.

Meanwhile, 2014 Tour de France champion Vincenzo Nibali, Richie Porte, Tom Dumoulin and Romain Bardet have been confirmed as the headline names for the Tour of Oman which starts on February 16.

Organisers are yet to reveal a full start list but the route is understood to be more demanding than previous editions.
