  • Run it back: The EAFL Falcons will play the Almaty Titans again.

A loaded roster gives the Emirates American Football League (EAFL) Falcons plenty of ammunition when they face Kazakhstan’s Almaty and Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah this weekend on home soil.

The Falcons will take on the Jeddah American Football Team for the first time tomorrow at The Sevens before facing familiar foes Almaty Titans on Saturday at Zayed Sports City, with Jeddah and Almaty squaring off at The Sevens on Sunday.

A 15-13 comeback victory punctuated the Falcons visit to Kazakhstan last June, while Jeddah are relatively new and formed independent of any league structure.

“We are very excited to play against our old friends from Kazakhstan and newcomers from Jeddah. The Titans always play hard for four quarters,” said EAFL general manager Dustin Cherniawski.

“As for Jeddah, we have been tracking their progress over the years and are enthusiastic about what we see. They have a clear passion for the game and are motivated to grow their program from the bottom up.”

Though the Falcons have back-to-back games, they’re stacked with a deep roster that includes quarterback Zavier Cobb, Vivaldi Tulysse and Luke Norrey among others, which is the result of playing at home as opposed to on the road.

“We’re here on our home territory so we’re able to get more guys out and participate,” said Falcons and Dubai Barracudas head coach Kyle Jordan.

“It’s really good that we can take players from all four teams, sort of the cream of the crop, and see what we can do together.”
