  • H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, won his second CISM World Military Endurance Championship, and helped the UAE to the gold medal in the team division in the 120km event at the Dubai International Endurance City.

Riding Aghaab, Sheik Hamdan led nearly from start to finish as he completed the course in 4 hours, 33 minutes and 36 seconds.

His margin was a little more than a minute faster than runner-up Sheikh Juma Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum aboard Alhambrad Windfaerer.

The UAE’s Salman Ali Al Sabri on Qosmik Rio was third to complete the sweep of the top three spots. Finishing fourth was Bachir El Mekhtafi of Lebanon on Persiam El Nefous and Sergey Buikevich of Kazakhstan was fifth on Oan Armor.

A roster of 70 riders, representing 25 countries, competed in the second renewal of the CISM World Military Endurance Championship.

Sheikh Hamdan won the inaugural CISM World Military Endurance Championship in December 2012 with Sheikh Juma fourth that day.

Officials from IPIC were on hand to present the trophies to the winning riders.
