  • Thanks-A-Million: One lucky person will win 1,000,000 air miles courtesy of Emirates Airline.

Emirates Skywards, the frequent flyer programme of Emirates Airline, are offering a top prize of one million Skywards Miles in its annual Thanks-A-Million draw at the Dubai World Cup on Saturday March 29.

The one million miles on offer equates to 22 return Emirates tickets to Europe from Dubai.

Unlimited raffle tickets can be purchased for the prize draw, priced at DHS 20 each, with proceeds going towards charity.

This year, the funds raised will go to the Emirates Airline Foundation, which provides humanitarian, philanthropic aid and services for children in need, with the hope of eradicating poverty in the countries Emirates flies to.

During last year’s event the Thanks-A-Million draw raised over DHS 3 million for charities, such as Riding for the Disabled Association of Dubai, the World Food Program, UAE Red Crescent and Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre.

The setting for the raffle is The Dubai World Cup at the Meydan Racecourse, with thousands of international visitors expected in the UAE for the world’s richest horse racing event.

The first runner-up in the prize draw will win 500,000 Miles (enough for 12 return tickets to Europe), with the second runner-up winning 250,000 Miles.

In addition, on March 27, there will also be a prize of 250,000 Miles at the Breakfast with the Stars, the annual Dubai World Cup breakfast event providing racing enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the horses – the “stars” – exercise on the track at the Meydan Racecourse.

Raffle tickets are on sale at select dnata outlets or at the Meydan Racecourse on the Dubai World Cup day on March 29.
