  • Big news: The world's best FMX riders compete in sold-out venues around the world each year and will come to the UAE on October 30, 2015.

FMX fans are in for a treat, as the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour announced its plans to end the 2015 season in the UAE.

Defending champion Josh Sheehan will be challenging for honours against three ex-champions determined to end the Australia’s reign on top of the world’s most prestigious freestyle motocross series with their bags of new tricks.

The world's best FMX riders, who compete each year in front of more than 100,000 spectators in sold-out venues are looking forward to a first-ever season finale in the UAE in October.

There have been five different winners in the last five years and four will participate in the 2015 battle. Tom Pagès of France (2013 World Tour Champion), Levi Sherwood of New Zealand (2012), Spain’s Dany Torres (2011) and the current World Tour champion Josh Sheehan of Australia will be flipping and flying their way around the world in pursuit of an elusive second title.

Sheehan vaulted into the FMX history books with the Double Backflip, there were new spectacular tricks and a heart-stopping championship battle that went down to the final round in 2014.

The Australian capped a remarkable come-from-behind upset of Sherwood, who had won the first two stops in 2014 in Mexico City and Osaka, on the strength of his two breathtaking victories in the final two stops in Munich and Pretoria.

Pagès set a new standard for FMX when he completed a Bike Flip in front of the ecstatic Spanish crowd. Pushing the top four on will be Taka Higashino (JPN), Remi Bizouard (FRA) and Adam Jones (USA) among others.
