Zayed Sports City’s latest attraction is now open as the paintball facility delivers adventure and entertainment to those brave enough to conquer its fields.

The extreme sport has infiltrated Abu Dhabi, boasting 8,500 square metres for visitors to test their skills. Whether you’re an experienced marksman or a beginner getting your first taste, you’ll be hooked by the variety of terrain.
With three zones available, you can choose your preferred game. The target zone allows participants to sharpen their aim by hitting items like bottles and bowling pins at long range. T
Then, you can enter either the speedball zone or the scenario zone to ratchet up the competition.
Speedball has enough space for 12 paintballers, filled with 25 inflatable bunkers for cover. The square area pits teams from opposite ends attempting to eliminate all the opposing players to win.
If a real-world setting is more your style, head into the scenario zone, which features natural obstacles and spaces to hide like trees, dunes, trenches and defunct equipment. The surroundings don’t get any more authentic.
With room for 20 paintballers, scenario has five separate missions available, including the ever-popular ‘capture the flag’.
As well as making for a fun day of competition with friends, family and coworkers, paintball is good exercise which doesn’t feel strenuous when you’re enjoying and focused on nailing your next target.

Depending on the session, Zayed Sports City will provide the necessary equipment, from overalls to masks, guns and body protectors. Changing rooms, lockers and restrooms with showers are on site.
The paintballs are made of a gelatin exterior and filled with washable paint.
Though they travel approximately 260 kilometres per hour, they’re not nearly as painful as they sound. Even still, only visitors 12 years of age and above can play at Zayed Sports City.
