But to ensure you don’t miss out on the “mind-blowing” jump experience, make sure you sign up online before 21:00 today (Thursday).

Since opening in 2012, Gravity Zone has proven a real hit by bringing an adrenaline filled and awe inspiring adventure to thousands of people, making it one of the most popular attractions in the country.

While you may think it’s not for the faint-hearted, Ramez Shawky, managing director of Gravity Zone, insists it’s open to those with or without bungee jumping experience.

Adrenaline-fuelled adventure: Those with or without bungee jumping experience are invited to have a go.

“If people are looking for a new challenge, looking to get rid of their fear of heights, or for those who have never done it before, then this challenge is for them,” he said.

“For some,  it could even be for our frequent customers who are looking for something new or for something different.”

He added: “Normally our jump height distances are 50 metres but this time we have decided to extend the height to 90 metres.

“Fifty metres is the basic height and it’s popular worldwide and the next highest distance is 90metres, according to the industry standards.

“Since Gravity Zone was opened three years ago, we’ve conducted over 7,000 jumps and now is a logical time for us to take the level a notch up.”

With plenty of attractions in the UAE, Shawky feels bungee jumping offers something “unique”.

“It’s a different kind of entertainment that you don’t find in the UAE,” he said.

“Bungee jumping is a bit of a challenge and unique and if people are looking for something new to do in town or looking for a different challenge then this is one worth doing.

“Overall, I would describe the jump as an adrenaline rush. It is totally unbelievable.

“For sure, people will be lost for words when they complete the jump.

“The freefall for a few seconds is similar to flying in the air for a few seconds and it’s an experience that they will remember.”

While an absence of fear of heights is helpful, jumpers do not need to have any previous experience as all technical and safety aspects of the bungee will be
explained prior to the scheduled jumps by the Gravity Zone team.

    Feel your adrenaline surge.

Shawky added: “Safety is paramount for us and for those who do the bungee jump can be sure they are in safe hands.”

The bungee jump will be the main attraction, however, there is plenty more entertainment on offer.

A velcro inflatable wall provided by Aquafun is one children will definitely enjoy and that will be situated in the kids play zone, while there will be on-site fitness
assessments by Fidelity Fitness and healthy nutritional advice from Organigrowth.

All profits from the day will be donated to Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP), who will use the funds to provide financial support, guidance, and various other types of assistance to needy cancer patients and their families throughout the UAE.

It promises to be a great day out for families and friends and Shawky is adamant it’s not one to be missed.

“There will be plenty of activities and things to do for the family, so it will make a great day out,” he said.
