Led by coach Morad Sennoun, his 14-man squad have been training twice a day ahead of the premier competition, which takes place in Dubai from August 24 to 31.
Made to work in their 3-2 warm-up victory against OK Žirovnica, the UAE will be looking for another positive result when they play OK Astec Triglav on Monday (June 8).
While results remain important, Sennoun insists focus is on the players to get used to the physical and mental elements of the game.

“We did very well in our first warm-up game but I want the players to improve physically and mentally as that will be a huge thing for us when we play at the World Championships,” he said.
“There will be no easy games and it’s important to see the players remain focused throughout the matches.
“We still have time to improve because we have two more games on this tour as well as training sessions when we return to the UAE.”
