– #360fit: Seven free fitness classes and activities to try in the UAE

Defending champions Fohood Zabeel secured a 4-0 win over Forsan Al Ittihad, Al Zeer smashed six past Al Nojoom for a 6-2 win, XCAT got the better of Al Bahri 4-1 and Fohood Jumeirah had a tennis set score of 6-0 against the Al Aseefa Falcons.

Fohood Zabeel were impressive in their opening win. Led by their star player Ricardo Filipe da Silva, known as Ricardinho, the defending champions struggled to break down a resolute Forsan Al Ittihad defence.

But they finally managed when Rafael Lira scored their first goal and Sabry Jamil added the second for a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Lira’s second goal made it 3-0 early in the second half and Ricardinho got his name on the sheet to put the match out of reach for Forsan Al Ittihad.

Morocco’s Kareem Bali was the driving force as XCAT showed poise and purpose in their 4-1 win against Al Bahri.

Bali was impressive with his skill and touch with two goals and team-mates Adil Zouthane and Yousuf Al Dhanhani added one each for XCAT. Mohammad Khay scored Al Bahri’s lone consolation.

Al Zeer started the night’s proceedings with a 6-2 thumping of Al Nojoom. Ali Mohammed Ghuloom and Hussain Tayebibigoli scored two goals each, while Talib Mohammed Alfzari and Jaber Saffar got one each for Al Zeer. Al Nojoom’s goals came from Ibrahim Kamal and Mohammed Allouch.

Fohood Jumeirah’s thrashing of the Al Aseefa Falcons was aided by two goals each from Tariq Aman, Franklin Douglas Cavalante and Morales di Oliveira Faria.

Meanwhile, top favourites Juani Mieres and Sanyo Gutierrez, and Juan Martin Diaz and Maxi Sanchez, will meet in the Padel Tennis final.

Allemandi and Miguel Lamperti 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to set a meeting in the final of the international padel tennis competition.

In the wheelchair basketball competition being held at the Dubai Club for Special Needs, Dubai Municipality and Hamdan Heritage Centre recorded their second win of the event. Dubai Municipality defeated Dubai Ambulance 35-20, while the Hamdan Heritage Centre powered their way past Dubai Police 44-8.

Smash hit: Volleyball.

Dubai 2021 and Fohood Zabeel were among the winners in the volleyball competition while the international Padel Tennis witnessed a major upset at the Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Ramadan Sports Tournament.

– #360fit: To Detox or Not To Detox (and what does it all even mean?)
– #360fit: Seven free fitness classes and activities to try in the UAE
– #360fit: The St. Regis offers the perfect place to kick back and relax

Dubai 2021 and Fohood Zabeel both registered 3-0 wins on the third night of competition in the volleyball tournament.

Dubai 2021 handed Axiom their second successive loss with a 25-20, 25-16, 25-14 result, while Fohood Zabeel overcame some initial resistance from the Commandos before winning 25-23, 25-12, 25-15 ion their group.

This was the second defeat each for the Commandos and Axiom, thus putting them virtually out of the race for a spot in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, reigning world champion Juan Martin Diaz teamed up with Maxi Sanchez to secure a shocking win in straight sets against defending champions Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk as the International Padel Tennis competition got under way.

Winners of the 2014 edition, Di Nenno and Stupaczuk had no answer to some fantastic court movement shown by their older and more experienced opponents.

The first set was one-way traffic as the veterans hardly gave the defending champions any chance to fight back with breaks in the second, fourth and sixth for a 6-0 result.

The pattern was set and the second set was swiftly secured for a 6-0, 6-2 victory.
