  • Group fun: The Reebok Run Club will instil the correct running techniques.

The new season of the Reebok Run Club is under way and runners can achieve their fitness goals with added motivation.

Held in partnership with Urban Energy Fitness, the club will take place across the UAE to offer a comprehensive training environment, which is perfect for beginners and advanced runners alike.

Training for the club’s running and marathon programme is currently going on and registration is open until December 1. Last year, the club achieved a 93 per cent success rate in all race entries and has been proven to be effective in raising running levels.

As well as unlimited classes, the programme includes monthly breakfast meetings to share advice, a monthly newsletter on nutrition, injury prevention and performance, as well as a Reebok goodie bag worth over Dh250.

Participants can choose the three-month programme for Dh1,400, or can avail a five-month or eight-month or a pay-as-you-go option. Young runners can also get involved and take part in the Reebok Junior Run Club, for ages seven to 12.

The Junior Club, which starts today, runs for 12 weeks and has hour-long sessions to educate children on fitness and running techniques in a fun way. In each session, 40 minutes will be dedicated to running, while the rest of the time will deal with technique, warm-ups, stretching, drills and injury prevention.

Sessions will take place at 16:30 on Sundays, Tuesday and Wednesdays in Al Barsha Park. The 12-week programme costs Dh900 per child and includes a Reebok t-shirt and entry into two 4km races, taking place on October 24 and December 12.

‘We are incredibly excited that the new running season has begun, and can’t wait to meet and motivate runners old and new through the Reebok Run Club,” said a Reebok Middle East spokesperson.
