Over 100 bodybuilders competed at the first Aduba Body Building Championship in Abu Dhabi last weekend.
A full house of spectators watched the cream of the crop of bodybuilders from across the GCC compete in six different categories at the National Theatre in the UAE capital.
Emirates Body Building Federation (EBBF) judged the competition’s categories and the winners were announced at a glittering awards ceremony.
Before competing in the Championship, competitors registered at the Aduba Private Fitness Centre as a link-up with the Abu Dhabi-based facility.
The bodybuilding championship is now set to be an annual event on the calendar.
Lisa Garrett, General Manager at Aduba Private Fitness Centre, said: "We were quiet pleased with the over-all turn up for the event. This only goes to show how many people in the UAE are inclined towards being fit and healthy. With the success of this event, we at Aduba are now looking at promoting health and fitness in more fun and challenging ways with various events in the future.
