For the second year in a row, Imperial Knights was unstoppable, penetrating the ANF All Stars defence at will and finding open shots with regularity.

Knights were too good on the night with their tight play and accurate shooting. The runaway victory was set up by the brilliance of Shijas Mohammed (14 points) and Subin Salimkutty (15 points) and sealed by a classy 11-point game from Bonny Paul.

All Stars started the game better, but Manoj Abraham continued to miss the shots while Milton converted a three-point shot and a field goal to gain a 18-15 first-quarter lead.

In the second quarter, Kunal Vohra and Salimkutty fired three pointers and made inroads into the All Stars defence at regular intervals and scored eight and seven points respectively and gave the Knights a six-point lead at 34-28 at half time buzzer.

All Stars were always going to make a run in the third quarter. Sidheek Razak (19 points) Abraham (11 points) and Atkins (10 points) did well to reduce the deficit to five points at 48-53 to set up a thrilling final quarter.

It was Knights’ time to celebrate in the last quarter as they settled down well and controlled the game according to their own pace and steamrolled past All Stars 20-11 for the final margin of 73-59.
