If you’re a parent looking for a fun and exciting activity for your children to enjoy whilst improving their motor skills and physical development in golf then The Grass Roots Golf (GRG) has the perfect solution.
Running alongside the school term dates, the GRG programme, which begins today is a progressive course that teaches children to develop the basic skills of the game on-site at their school.
If their school don’t have the fac-ilities to accommodate the classes, then children are welcome to join the weekly session at the Driving Range at the Track, Meydan Golf on Saturdays from 15:00 to 16:00. Prices are from Dh650 to Dh1,025 with terms ranging from six to 13 weeks.
The programme is led by a talented team of PGA-qualified coaches offering cutting-edge golf tuition with the emphasis on delivering the best. The aim of the programme is simple – to develop the children’s skills to a level where they are ready to progress onto the golf course over the duration of the programme.
All equipment will be provided and no class will ever be the same. The coaches will implement new activities and teach new skills that will keep the children entertained.
GRG also hosts its inter-school golf tournament giving the opportunity for children to win trophies.

Children can also sign up for the Eid Camps from October 5 to 9. Taking place at The Track, Meydan Golf, the sessions, on a first-come-first-served basis of no more than 15 people, will include fun and competitive games and technical instructions. The price is Dh700 for three days with classes from 08:00 to 11:00 and 14:30 to 17:30.
